1.1 Food Safety Policy

Our mission at GWSI is not just a statement but a commitment to excellence. We aim to provide warehousing and distribution services that produce exceptional value, meeting or exceeding our customer expectations and regulatory obligations. We do this by handling products safely and consistently. Our primary goal is to maintain the products we distribute with the highest standards for safely handling, storing, and distributing food and related products. Sound science, industry best practices, and compliance with regulatory requirements are the pillars that support this goal. We will regularly measure compliance against these standards and implement performance objectives to assure our customers that we do it the way it’s written and written the way we do it. We require that:

• Product is always received, stored, and distributed under safe and sanitary conditions that do not expose food products to the risk of contamination.
• Our integrated warehouse management system (WMS) employs scanning technology and maintains inventory management and product traceability. This system tracks every movement in the warehouse, from receipt and storage to shipment and final delivery.
• We provide all employees with the information, training, and tools they need to perform their jobs safely, hygienically, and competently.
• Employees comply with all company food safety policies and procedures.
• Our food safety plan is not just a static document, but a living, breathing commitment to excellence. It is being reviewed and continuously improved, ensuring that we always stay ahead of the curve in food safety.
