2.2.5 Diesel Mechanic Job Description
GWSI is a full-service warehouse and logistics company that maintains its entire fleet of tractors, trailers, forklifts, et cetera. Due to growth, we are looking for a full-time diesel mechanic looking to develop their skills and grow with our company. This individual will perform minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and diagnostic support.
Duties
- Repair trucks, trailers, chassis, and forklifts
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Change oil, lubricate vehicles, check mechanical equipment, batteries, air and oil filters, headlights, and tires.
- Assist in the performance of mechanical repairs and change parts
- Maintain shop and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Provide diagnostic support
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude
- Must have own tools
- Use of a variety of hand, power tools, and equipment
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
