2.2.6 Facility Custodian Job Description
GWSI is family-owned and operated and has been in the warehousing industry for over twenty-five years. The Facility Custodian plays a critical role in keeping our warehouse functionally and aesthetically intact and preserving the safety and quality of food and food-related products stored within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Maintains inventory of custodian/maintenance supplies and equipment
- Cleans and preserves designated spaces and equipment in the building per the established prerequisite program.
- Performs ongoing preventive maintenance and minor repair on ventilation, plumbing, custodial equipment, building structure, and hardware
- Perform custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash and recycle bins, cleaning windows, et cetera
- Restocking soap, towels, and other dispensers throughout the building
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Custodial work experience is preferred but not required
- Proficient with handling basic maintenance repairs
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to operate equipment preferred but not required
